Adoption Records

The “Adoption Records” section of this site actually covers two situations in which an individual can be identified as a family member based on the criterion of this particular genealogy site. For the purposes of this web site, children that are adopted and legally given a surname within this family tree will be considered ‘legal descendants’ and those children that become members of this family through marriage (children who are socially referred to as ‘step-children’ ) will be considered ‘valid descendants’ within this family.

SPECIAL NOTE: In the research and gathering of information regarding my family history, this site makes no division between the birth, adoption or child-by-marriage when it comes to the recording of such information. This decision was made primarily because I personally make no difference within my own immediate family, therefore will make no difference here on this site. Unfortunately, it is only because of the additional information regarding known genetic health issues within this web site that this subject has even been identified here.

Please use the "Additional Comments" section of the form below to submit any information that you may think is important regarding the adoption or otherwise of the child indicated on the form. Please keep in mind that this is a genealogical site and this child may want to know specific information at some point down the road. Anything you provide here would be considered a loving gesture and will be of great assistance to them in the future.
